Batemans Bay Medical & Skin Cancer Centre is proud to be a teaching practice, supporting medical students and GP registrars on their path to Fellowship. The team includes accredited supervisors and a senior medical educator who share teaching and supervision responsibility across the practice.
We support registrar-led learning, with individual teaching plans to help each registrar progress towards independent practice. Medical students from the Australian National University and the University of Sydney also spend time with the practice as part of their training.
Each GP brings a different mix of experience and special interests, while sharing the same focus on reliable, ongoing patient care.
General Practitioner
Has been practising medicine in Batemans Bay since 1975 after graduating from the University of Melbourne in 1972.
Special interests include paediatrics, anaesthesia, women’s health, minor surgery, men’s health, preventative care and skin cancers.

Graduated from university in India in 2007 with MBBS and DCH, then moved to Australia and worked in Westmead, Blacktown and Auburn Hospitals in Sydney.
Dr Moond moved to Batemans Bay in early 2014. His interests include respiratory medicine, cardiology, aged care, skin cancer detection and management, women’s health and paediatrics.
General Practitioner
Graduated from university in India in 2007 and later moved to Australia, where she completed AMC exams and worked at John Hunter Hospital, The Mater Hospital in Newcastle and Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.
Dr Joshi later moved to Batemans Bay. Her interests include women’s health, paediatrics, aged care, general medicine, skin cancers and mental health.
Independent Medical Practitioner
Graduated from Dubai Medical College, UAE in 2016 and completed hospital training across different specialties before moving to Australia.
After passing Australian Medical Council exams, Dr Tahir moved to the Eurobodalla to pursue rural medicine. Her interests include general medicine, women’s health, mental health, geriatrics, paediatrics, chronic disease, travel medicine, immunisations and ATSI health.

Graduated in 2005 from the University of Colombo, Faculty of Medicine in Sri Lanka, where he worked for several years before emigrating to Australia.
Dr Premawardhana and his family spent more than four years in Tasmania, working in hospitals and general practice across the North West and Hobart regions before moving into practice here.

Dr Sana Rafique is a General Practice Registrar with experience as a Career Medical Officer within NSW Health. She has worked across diverse clinical settings, including emergency medicine, managing acute and complex conditions.
She is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centred care with a focus on continuity and communication. Her clinical interests include chronic disease management, mental health, women’s health and preventive medicine.
GP Registrar
Dr Gurleen Kaur Gill is joining the practice as a GP Registrar in August 2026.

Dr Daniel Sacoor is a locum medical practitioner providing short-term cover at the practice.
Locum doctors help maintain continuity of care during periods of leave, registrar transitions and peak demand. Specific availability windows and the doctor's particular clinical interests will be confirmed by reception when you call.

Dr Ann Eke is listed on the current practice site as a General Practitioner at Batemans Bay Medical Centre.
Dr Eke will be departing the practice on 2 August 2026. Current patients are encouraged to book with another GP before this date so that ongoing care can be transferred smoothly. Reception can help match you with a doctor whose interests align with your health needs.

Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr Goudar specialises in the treatment and management of lower limb conditions involving the hip, knee, foot and ankle.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, with fellowship training in hip and knee replacement surgery, foot and ankle surgery, and bone and soft tissue tumours.
Cardiologist
Dr Ahmed Khan is an Australian-trained interventional cardiologist who specialises in all aspects of interventional cardiology, including FFR, IVUS and OCT.
His special interests include ischaemic heart disease, hypertension, heart failure and atrial fibrillation. He completed cardiology and interventional fellowships in Canberra and Fremantle and currently works as a consultant interventional cardiologist at Heart of Canberra, Deakin.
Neurologist
Dr Ronak Patel is a Consultant Neurologist at Calvary Public Hospital, Bruce, with postgraduate neurology training completed at John Hunter Hospital and The Canberra Hospital.
His interests include stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, headaches and migraines, and other neurological disorders. He also teaches undergraduate and postgraduate trainees and chairs the Calvary Public Hospital Neurology Research Group.
