Missed appointments & cancellation

Non-attendance fee of $25 applies to missed appointments. We require at least 2 hours notice to cancel an appointment, or the non-attendance fee will apply.

If something unexpected comes up and you can't attend, please call reception as soon as you can. We will always try to be reasonable about genuine emergencies.

Phone consults & messages

Phone consults are available if you are unwell. Should you need to speak to your GP via the telephone and they are with a patient, a message will be taken and relayed to the GP. Your GP will return your call as soon as practicable.

In the case of an emergency, your call will be put through or you should call an ambulance on 000.

Requesting a repeat script

Repeat prescriptions require a consultation and review. This is so your doctor can confirm the medication is still appropriate, check for interactions and update your record.

Some routine repeats can be organised through your pharmacist under Continued Dispensing arrangements — ask your pharmacy if this applies to your medication.

How results are communicated

If a doctor requires a follow-up appointment with you in regards to recent test results, the reception staff will contact you on behalf of the doctor to arrange this. If test results come back to the doctor and they require no action, you will not be contacted.

If you would like the results of a test that you have had done, the reception staff are able to provide these after they have been reviewed by the doctor.
